Iran’s Easy Pipe Kashan wins World Wrestling Clubs Cup title

Easy Pipe Kashan of Iran claimed the title of the 2017 World Wrestling Clubs Cup held in Tehran on Dec. 7-8.

The Iranian team defeated defending champion Titan Mercury from the U.S. 6-4 in the final match.

Setaregan Sari from Iran, who had defeated compatriot Bimeh Razi in an early battle, defeated Mongolian Khimori 9-1 and finished in third place.

13 teams from four pools competed in the fourth edition of the World Clubs Cup.

The Iranian fans treated the American wrestler Kyler Snyder like a true hero, even taking a few selfies with him.

“Iranian fans take wrestling seriously, so it’s one of the best places to wrestle”, Snyder said.
